Our Goals
  • To produce top quality healthy puppies and dogs.
  • To place each of our puppies in a loving home.
  • To provide our puppies proper care and environment to ensure happy, healthy puppies.
  • To promote dog training and obedience classes for our new puppy owners.
  • To help the Golden Retriever remain not only a family dog but also a working dog by breeding for intelligence as well as appearance.
  • To help all individuals understand the demands related to owning a dog.

Our puppies are always raised inside our home with us and our other dogs. For the first 3 1/2 - 4 weeks of life they spend most of their days in their whelping box, with their momma . Once they reach this age they are developed enough to experience the world outside their whelping area.  They still live with us inside our home but get to go outside to play, explore  & experience different stimuli under our supervision and their mothers of course.

Since our puppies are raised inside our home, they are exposed & accustom to the constant commotion and noises that go along with most homes. They experience vacuum cleaners running, TV's blaring  and all the other pleasant noises  & customs most homes have.  Our puppies see us from the time they wake up in the morning until they go to bed at night.

I believe the type of environment our puppies are raised in not only helps the puppies, but their new families as well.  Our puppies experience a home and are constantly being interacted with adults, kids, our other dogs and cat on a daily basis. The type of surrounding and socialization our puppies receive during the time of their greatest development provides them the  foundation they deserve and helps to provide our puppy owners a true loving companion that is use to daily life inside a home.
(These are my beliefs and are not intended to insult or downgrade any breeders that do not raise their puppies the same way as I do.)

VACCINATIONS COMMONLY RECOMMENDED FOR PUPPIES AND DOGS:

rDAPP (aka - DHPP) is the vaccinations given to our puppies by the vet before they go to their new homes.

rDAPP or DHPP - Distemper-Adenovirus (canine hepatitis), Type-2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus)   The puppies will receive their first DAPP (aka. DHPP) and usually require 2 more boosters 3-4 weeks after their initial and second booster.  The DHPP boosters must be received within 4 weeks of the one prior but usually no earlier than 3 weeks from the one prior.  Waiting longer than 4 weeks may require that the entire vaccination series start over again.  This vaccination is recommended to be given/boosted 3 times during the puppy vaccination schedule (they will recieve the first of three by our veterinarian).  After the 1st 3 have been given 3-4 weeks apart the puppy/dog will require another booster at their 1 year checkup and then every 3 years after.

In addition to the rDAPP the following are the common canine vaccinations recommended by most vetrinarians at this point in time:

Rabies -  Given when the puppy is 16 - 24 weeks of age.  A booster will then be given at around 15 months of age and then boosted every 3 years with the current 3 year vaccination.  (This schedule could always change if the veterinary community decides a different Rabies vaccination schedule is more appropriate.)

Leptospirosis - An optional vaccination but most veterinarians do recommend that puppies receive it.  (You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of the vaccine with your vet, but I always give this to my own dogs.)  Given after 12 weeks of age and is boosted 1 time (3-4 weeks later) and then boosted again around 15 months again and each year after.

Bordatella - An optional vaccination and is normally recommended if the dog/puppy is going to be at a kennel or groomers or could be exposed to other animals possibly carrying or having this virus.  (Usually given once a year but some facilities require a 6 month booster.  It is given either as a nasal spray or subq and again I always assure our dogs receive this vaccine.)

Lymes Vaccination - An optional vaccine for Lyme disease that can be given to a puppy at least 12 weeks of age to help strengthen their immune response to the Lyme disease causing bacteria (Borrelia burgdorferi).  This vaccine does NOT prevent Lyme disease, but will hopefully provide increased protection against the Lyme disease causing bacteria normally transmitted by ticks.   A booster is necessary a few weeks after the initial Lyme vaccination and then again at the dog's 1 year checkup and each year thereafter.

The vaccinations and schedule listed above are the most common that veterinarians reccomend but only your veterinarian can provide you with an exact schedule and reccomendations since some may differ a little in time frame and recommendations.
